9 candidates for the Google PhD student stipend

Personnel

Magnus Själander has accepted the offer to return to CE

- Will work w/ Sally on the Ericsson project

PhD student interviews have started for CHAMPP

- Will interview 11 candidates out of 99 applications

Chen Fang now a professor, as per Markides' decision
Elad Schiller will be recruited as a Docent at NS

Teaching

Difficulties finding examiners for master projects

- According to Sven K, no big problems here at CE

Master programme overview initiated

- Jan J, Lars S, Jesper Vasell, possibly more

CSE response to Restart EDIT proposal is being finalized

- Comments to Jan J ASAP

Increased emphasis on teacher teams for master programmmes

Department issues

Sally's colloquium initiative has been presented to the ILG

- Has support, but was tabled on Feb 18 due to lack of time

Chalmers issues

Chalmers will start an E-science centre

- Roughly 1MSEK per annum

Software centre discussions ongoing with Ericsson

- Similar efforts on the way in Lund, Ronneby
