EU Initial Training Network
Can we apply for a network grant when the next call for proposals is made?
According to Kurt the grant will be able to cover the following expenses
- almost the whole salary cost for PhD students - a couple of 1000 SEK per month extra is needed to cover the normal PhD student salary cost
- I checked the Marie Curie document and it seems like that phd students can be funded up 36 months and postdocs up to 2 years. What would this mean to us within Chalmers where a phd takes 3 years.
- total extra expenses 1800 Euros per researcher month
- management costs 7% (reference stated below says 10%, but the contract says 7%)
- an overhead of 10% (calculated on all direct costs)
The people who are interested in joining are
- Mike Birse (University of Manchester)
- Evgeny Epelbaum (Ruhr University Bochum)
- Hans-Werner Hammer (Bonn University)
- Doron Gazit
What we need to figure out
- What is relevant for the proposal?
- What defines a good budget for this proposal?
- Are there any participants from other countries that we can include? We should be able to find some spaniards to join.
